We were tasked by the Cruising Club of Barbados with the filming and creation of a video showcasing the action and fun of the 2015 Barbados Mount Gay Regatta. The goal was to try and catch action from every class of boat during the racing in all locations - not an easy task. For the round the island race, given the Barbados Tourism Authority's...

The word is that Sam Lords Castle may be rebulit - 'at last' we all say! We will have to wait and see if this actually happens, but just in case, we thought it would be good to snap some high-definition video and stills of it's current state of disrepair for posterity. The recent clear weather (and low wind today!) made for perfect shooting...

Our first visit to Cove Bay was blighted by some bad weather and overcast conditions. So we revisited on a better day today to get some further photos, videos and panoramas. The gusty wind (up to 15knots) made things a little interesting but nevertheless, we managed to snap the shots we came for!

It was high time (no pun intended) that we gathered some nice clear stock footage from Chalky Mount. So, given how clear the day was, we packed off to the East Coast of Barbados and set about getting some reels of video and stills from the picturesque location on the East Coast.

A full day spent shooting all around Barbados with the BBC for a their Caribbean programme. A very interesting shoot not without it's challenges! Shooting for the travel show with Simon Reeve we began the day at Port St. Charles - shooting a catermaran from a chase boat. The director, being seasoned with drone use, was able to be very specific...

An exploratory visit in the late afternoon to Martin's Bay on the East Coast of Barbados. Sadly the weather didn't really play ball so only a few shots, but having now scouted the location completely - we'll be back!

Perhaps every quadcopter/multi-rotor pilot's worst nightmare? - having to film a mobile tower... Well, we were hired by a local media agency to film one! Internet-wide one of the main sources of 'fly-aways' is reported (although this is still up for debate) to be interference from mobile/cellular network towers interfering with controller...

Shooting footage in Bridgetown on behalf of a local media agency for a forthcoming advert. Some quite technical flying involving movement inside a house, through a veranda and then a combination of altitude and gimballing - all while staying in the controlled airspace and keeping the subject in view front and centre! We'll update with the link...

A beautiful picnic spot, a stunning building and an amazing location. So, quite naturally, we wanted to film it from the air... We utlised some long shots flying in through the building and out the other side along with some high shots to show the scale of the property.

Glitter Bay on the West Coast of Barbados is a beautiful resort with lush gardens, tennis courts, pool, bar and it all sits on a lovely stretch of beach just outside of Holetown. Barbados Villa Services hired Above Barbados to create a promo video for the villas they manage at the resort. We actually had to shoot this twice, the first visit in...

The Southern Boardwalk has proven a hugely popular feature. Taking 20 or so minutes to walk down and featuring a myriad of restaurants and bars it is always a popular spot. To gather some footage for our forthcoming promo-reel we made a quick visit.
